This ‘Starter Guide’ intends to provide you with the most up to date information and helps lead a healthy lifestyle through nutrition-based eating and supplementation.
I focus on the gut, as this is where it all begins. If you can get this system right, managing other areas of concern (be it your mental state, weight or skin health) should become easier to manage.
A little preparation can go a long way, which is why I wanted to design a ‘Starter Guide’ to set you up with gut health, weight management, immune support, skin health and mental wellbeing, including scientific guidelines, background information, food choices, shopping lists, supplement suggestions, sample meal plans, mindful eating suggestions and FAQ’s.
This is not a ‘cleanse’ or ‘detox’ as such; life doesn’t stop while you are working your way through this guide. Continuing with everyday activities and events is very important.
My goal throughout this guide is to educate you about the power of nutrients and the effect it has on your mind and body and in turn your overall health and mental wellbeing. I want to focus on restoring your microbiome (gut bacteria) through modification of diet and physical activity, stress reduction and supplement interventions.
The main food groups you will concentrate on are not new to the health gurus and possibly even to you. It has been around for some time, however, putting it into practice and getting your body back to its natural state, is a lot harder than it appears.
